Postmortem: Issues Observed After Thru AFT Upgrade
Following the recent upgrade to a new version of Thru AFT, we have identified the following issues:
- Intermittent Authorization Errors in Mule Flows
Some customers using the Thru Mule connector have experienced intermittent authorization errors (HTTP 401) in their Mule flows. Affected connections can be restored by regenerating the secret key in the Thru Portal and updating the Thru Mule connector with the new key. While we continue to investigate the root cause, we recommend customers experiencing this issue regenerate the secret key and update the Mule connector accordingly.
- Permission Errors When Connecting to AWS S3
As part of this upgrade, we enhanced the security of connections to AWS S3 buckets. Thru AFT now actively challenges S3 Secret Key during the connection function.
In some AWS S3 configurations, this may result in an exception if the key lacks the GetBucketLocation permission.
To resolve this, please ensure that the AWS secret key used in the connection has the GetBucketLocation permission assigned.
